Who doesn’t love a strong athletic core?
Great abs look good, feel good, and help your body stay injury-free. But so many people go about it the wrong way. My clients have great abs as a by-product of my focus on exercise execution and training intensity.
Want sexy abs? Here are 3 things you probably aren’t doing…
Train them like any other muscle group
How often do you train abs? Are they an afterthought? Do you think about exercise selection? Start training abs as seriously as you train any other body part. This means FREQUENCY and INTENSITY. 3-4 times a week, focused, and like you mean business!
Proper exercise form for abs
Are you guilty of sloppy form when you do ab work? Many people are – I think it’s because they throw ab training in at the end of a session. Start focusing on your exercise form and I promise you’ll have better ab development. Perform exercises you can do well with confidence. Don’t try fancy stuff just because you’ve seen it on IG. Maintain good form and connection with your abs.
Don’t forget your nutrition
“Abs are made in the kitchen” – obviously training is key too, but nutrition is fundamental to getting your abs to show. If you’re not lean, your abs will stay hidden. Track and monitor your nutrition so you can get leaner and show the shape and definition of your abs.
