A successful day starts the night before…
Prep tomorrow the night before. This might mean prepping meals and snacks, or writing out your food plan. It means planning when you’ll train, knowing what your session will be, and making sure your kit is organised. Get to bed early enough. Plan, don’t leave things to chance.
Remove distractions from your environment
If you had a big work deadline, you would remove distractions from your work area. So do the same for your fitness goal. Get rid of trigger foods from your house, desk drawer, workspace. Stick to your training plans – treat it like the important appointment it is. Don’t get dragged into drinks after work if you planned to go to the gym. You can say no to food, drink, or plans that take you away from your goal. You’re allowed.
Remind yourself of the BIG GOAL
Successful athletes and high performing gym goers do this without thinking about it. Their big goal is always there. In their plans and their thoughts. What is YOUR big goal? Make it crystal clear. Bring it to life in your mind. Write it down in your daily planner, have it as your phone lock screen, put it on a sticky note on your laptop. Keep it front and centre.
